When German reality TV stars, Robert and Carmen Geiss, of Die Geissens sought to revitalise their Monaco mansion’s pool, they didn’t just want an upgrade; they wanted a statement. They got in touch with us at Deko Design Systems, since our renowned knack for crafting designs that are both extraordinary and unforgettable was just what the Geissens were looking for.
The Geissens had one request: wow us with something unique. So, drawing inspiration from the inherent connection between water and its most fearsome predator, we pitched a bold concept: swimming with sharks. Alas, our products aren’t suited for underwater use, so we passed along the lead to our franchise partner, Makrü-Bau GmbH, a full-service contractor who had the know-how to craft the extraordinary pool.
The design didn’t involve real sharks, of course. But through the masterful application of 3D pool artwork created by Gräflich Münster’sche Manufaktur, Makrü-Bau embarked on creating an aquatic masterpiece that would transform the 80m2 pool into a captivating underwater world.
Over the course of five days, the transformation unfolded. Every detail, from the sharks’ realistic textures to the play of light and shadow on the pool floor, was meticulously executed. The result is a truly immersive experience, a space that invites both wonder and a touch of adrenaline and maybe just a whiff of James Bond.
The Geissens shark-infested pool stands as a testament to the power of creative collaboration and the boundless possibilities that arise when design expertise and the right partners meet a desire for something truly unique and out of the ordinary.
